No Nigerian can find a reason to why the President has remained silent on Lekki toll gate shooting – Bishop Kukah
Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, Matthew Kukah, also joined other Nigerians in expressing concern over President Bukhari’s continued silence over the shooting at Lekki’s toll gate.
A priest speaking on the channel’s program on Wednesday, October 21, said that Vice President Yemi Osinbajo’s apology for the shooting was meant to compensate for the president’s silence.
Kukah said there was no reason for the president to remain silent as he indicated that young people risk their lives to fight for their rights. He added that the only way out for the president is “to let them know that someone is feeling their pain.”
“I really can’t understand it. I feel completely helpless in the sense that I cannot find any reasons, and I do not think that any Nigerian in the right frame of mind can find a reason why the president is so silent about this crisis. “
