Trump is losing not only the status of the first daughter- Ivanka Trump, but also the job of “presidential adviser.”
Ivanka Trump not only loses her first daughter status due to the defeat of her father Donald Trump from Joe Biden – she also loses her job.
At her father’s White House, Ivanka Trump works as a “presidential adviser”, allegedly focusing on “education and economic empowerment for women and their families, and job creation and economic growth through workforce development, vocational training and entrepreneurship.”
Prior to that, she “led development and acquisitions” at her father’s real estate company, the Trump Organization, and had a fashion line. She also appeared as a courtroom judge on Trump’s reality show The Apprentice.
But her role in the White House, and the fact that virtually all of her professional history is with her father, raises the question: What will she eventually do?
While Ivanka Trump could probably return to the Trump Organization, it may not be the most stable job when her father leaves office. The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office is requesting Trump’s tax returns as part of a “sophisticated financial investigation,” previously citing public reports in its request for “widespread and prolonged criminal behavior at the Trump Organization.”
The New York State Attorney General’s Office is also investigating whether the Trump Organization and its agents overpriced Seven Springs, a property north of New York City. The state attorney general’s investigation came after former Trump attorney Michael Cohen told Congress that he had inflated the value of his assets in order to get better loans and insurance policies.
But a return to the world of fashion is also unlikely. Indeed, the Ivanka Trump brand of the same name is no longer there. She announced it would close in July 2018, citing “the work I am doing here in Washington.” However, the circumstances leading up to the announcement were not encouraging.
Neumann Markus and Nordström abandoned their line in 2017, claiming “poor performance”. There was also a campaign targeting online retailers asking for the brand to be abandoned in protest against the Trump administration’s policies.
However, there are rumors that Ivanka Trump may have some business opportunities. OK! The magazine claimed that the Trump family received “lots of reality TV offers” before the vote ended – and that Ivanka was particularly in demand.
“You have to remember that reality TV made this family a superstar. That appearance on The Celebrity Apprentice alongside their father, Donald Trump, made Ivanka, Donald Jr. and Eric prime time stars – that’s okay! The newspaper was informed about this by a source who is called “a leading TV insider.”
“The return of the kids to reality TV shouldn’t come as a surprise, nor should Ivanka be the family member who gets the most offers, including interest from Dancing with the Stars.”
One alleged “buddy” quoted by OK! Said, “If she wanted to, she could do her own prime time cable show.”
Recent statements by Ivanka Trump indicate a continuing interest in public life, perhaps even in politics. In an interview with RealClearPolitics last week, Ivanka Trump said she is “a pragmatist when it comes to everything.” Similar to her father’s belief that politics is about people and not parties, Ivanka Trump reportedly said she identified herself as a “Trump Republican.”
When asked if she considers herself a populist, Ivanka Trump reportedly said, “I think a lot of these labels, to be honest, really limit how you call yourself or how you identify yourself … a label in general. ”
In this interview, Ivanka Trump spoke out for the first time in support of a key Republican policy position against abortion.
“I respect all sides of a very personal and sensitive discussion,” she said when asked about abortion, “but I am also a mother of three and fatherhood has greatly influenced me in terms of how I think about these things. ”
“I stand for life without apologies for life,” she reportedly said.
Regardless of what Ivanka Trump ultimately does, she will live better than the millions of Americans who were out of work during the pandemic. She and her husband, Trump’s descendant and real estate advisor Jared Kushner, listed $ 36,151,214-157,020,085 in their 2019 financial statements, according to Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington.
Attempts to contact the Trump Organization and a longtime family lawyer for comment were not immediately successful.
